Ancient Mega Tsunami

Large objects (comets and asteroids) regularly cross Earth’s path through space and every once in a while, one of them hits us. The result can be catastrophic: enormous explosions that darken the skies, triggering climate change and mass extinctions – like the demise of the dinosaurs 60 million years ago. The footprints these objects leave behind on land can be seen around the planet include160 known sites ranging from the dramatic meteor crater in Arizona to hidden craters like Panther Mountain in upstate New York.
